In this role you will be one of two Senior Recruitment Advisors for the Lower North and South Island recruitment team, while working connectedly as part of the wider National Recruitment team. Your core focus is to be a trusted strategic recruitment partner to our senior hiring managers for specialist and mid to senior level roles. This will be your opportunity to contribute to enhancing how we do things, align our function to our organisational strategies and provide exceptional recruitment support across the region. Responsibilities Strategic Recruitment Partner; provides specialist and recruitment and selection consultancy advice, support and guidance to senior managers providing a range of strategies and approaches. Service Delivery; deliver high quality service and best practice specialist recruitment (mid to senior level roles) while providing attraction and selection advice, support and guidance to hiring managers. Building Internal Capability; building the internal capabilities of our stakeholders by delivering impactful best practice recruitment training/workshops. Best Practice Kaitiaki; identifying and mitigating areas of risk with recruitment activities, ensuring we hire the right people, widely sharing knowledge of best practice and drive continuous improvement of attraction and selection activities. Relationship Development and Building; build, participate and nurture internal and external stakeholder relationships. Act as an Ara Poutama Advocate; initiate, manage, organise and attend community events for attraction and engagement. About you Manaaki (Respect):We care and respect everyone. Skills and experience Significant recruitment experience and able to apply best practice recruitment and selection processes for specialist and mid to senior level roles. Senior Strategic Recruitment Partnering experience providing senior managers with recruitment selection and consultancy advice, support and guidance on attraction and selection strategies. Solid experience and understanding of recruitment processesi.e. attraction activities, candidate care, selection and risk assessment. Relationship Builderwith proven experience and skills, at building and maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders with a compassionate and collaborative approach. Team-playerwho shares knowledge and consistently demonstrates behaviour that is mana enhancing (Manaaki) towards colleagues, managers and stakeholders. Experience within a Public Sector recruitment function where compliance with policy and process would be an advantage. Professional communication skills; written, verbal, including presentation skills. Culturally competent;can show an understanding (or an openness to developing an understanding) of operating effectively in a Māori cultural setting alongside an understanding and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi Experience with the application of psychometrics for selection purposes A full drivers licence and the ability for some overnight travel Benefits The salary range for this position is $104,985 to midpoint$123,511. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
