2x Production Asphalt Plant Manager

ConsultANZ is seeking 2x Production Asphalt Plant Managers to join a leading civil infrastructure contractor operating asphalt manufacturing plants in Auckland, New Zealand . In this role, you will manage the daily operations of an asphalt production plant, lead the plant team, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality asphalt production for road construction and asphalt paving projects. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operation of the asphalt production plant. Plan and oversee asphalt production to meet project requirements. Ensure asphalt is produced safely and meets quality standards. Lead and support asphalt plant operators and production staff. Monitor plant performance and arrange maintenance when required. Manage purchase orders, materials, inventory, and production records. Work closely with customers, suppliers, paving crews, and internal teams. Maintain a safe working environment and improve plant efficiency. Requirements Certificate, Trade Qualification, or relevant qualification in Plant Operations, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Minimum 5+ years' experience managing an asphalt production plant. Good knowledge of asphalt production, asphalt plant operations, and asphalt mix manufacturing. Strong leadership and people management skills. Good computer skills and experience using plant management systems. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
