Reintegration Southern Regional Manager & Christchurch Team Leader The Salvation Army Reintegration Service The Salvation Army Reintegration Service provides short term housing and other support for people reintegrating into the community following their release from prison. With one-on-one case management of allocated clients ensuring support throughout their initial reintegration into the community. It includes working closely with Community Probations and other government and community organizations. About the Role: The purpose of the position is to continuously grow and improve the standard of support provided to clients, and support the ongoing changes and development of this service moving forward and to lead with sound direction and innovative thinking, supporting the operational teams for quality outcomes within the South Island. What will your responsibilities be: To lead, coach, continuously improve the quality of the service to meet the ever changing needs for our people, ensuring high standards are attained, relationship building with our contracted and community partners, risk is managed and practice meets the Salvation Army values and mission, standards, contracts and policy. Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures relating to all aspects of service provision. Workforce - support the recruitment, orientation and professional development of the Southern Reintegration Team. Build strong relationships both within TSA, Funders and community Promote cultural awareness and safety. Promote wellness and a safe work environment. Our ideal candidate will: Be a qualified/Experienced Senior Manager who has social service provision experience and understanding of contract management Be experienced and skilled at working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds Have leadership skills, with the ability to monitor progress and development skills of a team Possess excellent written, oral communication and listening skills Be able to work cooperatively in a team environment, sharing information, ideas and effective practices while maintaining client and service privacy, and confidentiality Be focused on client needs Possess and exercise relationship building skillsHave a high level of personal integrity Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment Be able to organise, prioritise and plan work Be able to plan, co-ordinate with a nation wide team Have the ability to show initiative and innovation Be able to write accurate records and reports Have a responsible and caring attitude towards others Understand and be sensitive to cross cultural differences Have a strong understanding of, and a heart for social issues Hold a current clean full drivers licence Be able to travel from time to time to support the services Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand Our offer to you: An additional working week of Salvation Army leave awarded annually on 1 July Discounted Medical Insurance with Southern Cross TSA discount card for discount with various retailors such as Beaurepairs, Noel Leeming and Placemakers Free confidential counselling services to support your wellbeing Subsidised flu vaccinations Flexible working arrangements The salary for this role will range from $93,552 to $101,961 gross per annum. This role may be in a rotating on-call roster, which includes providing after-hours support as outlined in our On-Call Policy.
