Job Description

We're looking for a Logistics Operator to join our Wharf Chiller team in Timaru, playing a key role in ensuring product is safely stored, handled and supplied to our processing operation. Working Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, you'll play an important role in ensuring seafood products are safely handled, prepared and supplied to our processing factory. Working within our Wharf Chiller, you'll support the movement of product by thawing and sorting fish, supplying production lines, and maintaining product quality and cold chain integrity.This is a busy, hands-on role that is essential to keeping our processing operation running efficiently. What you'll be doing Safely operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment Receiving, storing and moving seafood products within the Wharf Chiller Preparing and supplying product to the processing factory Loading and unloading trucks and completing dispatch activities Maintaining accurate stock movements and inventory records Ensuring hygiene, food safety and cold chain standards are maintained Identifying and reporting any product quality or safety concerns Supporting the wider logistics and processing teams as required What we're looking for You’ll enjoy physical, hands-on work and take pride in working safely as part of a team. You'll be comfortable working in a chilled environment and enjoy playing an important role in keeping our processing operation running smoothly. Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, processing or a similar environment A current Forklift (F Endorsement/OSH) licence is preferred Strong attention to detail and organisational skills The ability to work safely in a chilled environment A positive attitude and willingness to learn Good communication skills and a team-first approach Discover our fish processing division located in Timaru, central to mountains, lakes, and the sea. We process various fish species from our deep-water vessels and independent ACE fishers. Our facility operates three shifts daily to support day, night, and part-time operations, while our joint venture with San Won keeps the unloading of our vessels and storage facilities busy year-round. You will find a variety of our beautiful New Zealand seafood products in our retail shop located on site.
