Mitre 10 MEGA Whangārei is proudly locally owned and operated, and we're looking for a passionate, creative marketer to help bring our brand to life across Whangārei. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands both digital and traditional media, enjoys creating engaging campaigns, producing great content, building strong community connections, and delivering marketing that makes an impact. Reporting to the Member Principal, you'll help execute our national marketing calendar, as well as create locally relevant marketing that captures the unique spirit of Whangārei and connects with our customers. What you’ll do: Develop the annual local marketing plan and execute local campaigns across various media channels, including but not limited to, print, radio, television, digital, social media, outdoor advertising, and in-store media all within budget Manage paid media campaigns and work with local media and advertising partners Create engaging photo, video and graphic content Build strong relationships with external suppliers and stakeholders Coordinate community events, sponsorships and promotional activities including but not limited to Trade breakfasts, Easy as Kids workshops, and Helping Hands community projects Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve results What we’re looking for: Experience in marketing, advertising, or communications Strong understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels Experience with paid media planning and campaign execution Photography and videography skills, with the ability to create engaging content Basic graphic design skills and confidence using creative design tools Strong organisational and project management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A creative mindset balanced with commercial thinking, turning ideas into action Experience analysing campaign performance and using insights to drive better outcomes Someone who is organised, proactive, and happy to roll up their sleeves and muck in when needed Why join us?
