The role | Te tūnga This is a fixed term opportunity based in Wellington through to 30 June 2027, reporting to the General Manager - Data Capability. We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide professional support to senior leaders within our Strategic Engagement, Māori Partnerships & Data Capability business group. As a trusted partner to senior leaders, you will manage busy and complex diaries, coordinate meetings and events, prepare high-quality correspondence, support financial and general administration, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the branch. This role sits in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly. You'll need to be comfortable balancing competing demands, exercising sound judgment, anticipating needs, and responding with professionalism and discretion. Working closely with leaders, stakeholders, and the wider Executive Assistant network, you'll play a key role in enabling leadership effectiveness and maintaining strong branch coordination. What you bring | Nōu te rourou Significant experience providing executive support to senior leaders, ideally within a large and complex organisation. Exceptional organisational, planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities simultaneously. Strong relationship management skills and the confidence to build effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies. Proven judgement, discretion, initiative and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining high levels of professionalism. The ability to remain calm under pressure, think ahead, solve problems and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. A customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering a high-quality service. We highly value demonstrated competency in mātauranga Māori, tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi application in a workplace setting. To support this work, proficiency in te reo Māori, or a strong commitment to developing te reo Māori capability is welcomed.
