Mō tēnei mahi | About this job Role : Casual – as and when required Location : Dunedin Hourly Rate: $24.28 per hour Hours : As required Days : As required The Disability Support Worker is used to provide specificlearning related support services (according to the need) to tauira withimpairment(s). In this role, you will: Typing,notetaking, and helping them engage with learning materials and onlinetasks Coachingthem to break down assignments and understand academic requirements Strengtheningtheir skills in independent planning and time management Encouragingmeaningful connections with Kaiako (teachers), peers, Tauira Services, andthe wider learning environment We are looking for someone who has the following: Atertiary qualification, preferably with a qualification above the level oftauira you are supporting PreviousTeaching Aide experience preferred Experiencein a pastoral role, coaching, mentoring, support, or teaching advantageousbut not essential As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness toparticipate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of ĀhuatangaMāori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
