Job Description

Are you an experienced Quality Control Technician with a strong mechanical aptitude and an eye for detail? We are seeking a skilled QC Technician to join a leading manufacturing and engineering business based in Mt Wellington. As a Quality Control (QC) Technician you are a key member of the team ensuring your product goes out on time to the highest of standards. You not only have to inspect products but also investigate faults, log results, and perform calibrations as required. This position is an immediate start and working till Christmas, with the potential to be extended for the right person. Please note, this position is ideal for candidates with engineering or mechanical manufacturing experience rather than food processing or plastics production backgrounds. What You'll Be Doing: Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams, and schematics Perform inspections on manufactured products and accurately record results Identify, investigate, and report product faults and non-conformances Complete detailed inspection reports and quality documentation Assist with developing and improving processes to reduce defects and improve product quality Maintain quality assurance procedures and standards across production Perform calibrations and verification checks as required Work closely with production teams to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved What You Need Minimum 2 years' experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams, and schematics Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection processes Understanding of mechanical measurements, visual inspections, and quality systems High attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and time management abilities Experience with CMM programming or operation would be advantageous What's in It for You: Location: Mt Wellington, parking available on site Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm $28-$30 per hour depending on experience, paid weekly Opportunity to work within a well-established engineering and manufacturing environment KiwiSaver, Annual leave, ACC cover, and all standard employment entitlements Overtime opportunities when available PPE provided and replenished as required Strong health and safety culture with ongoing support from a dedicated team Be part of a business that values quality, innovation, and continuous improvement #J-18808-Ljbffr
