About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a New Zealand Registered, Occupational Therapist interested in joining our Community Allied Health Occupational Therapy Team. This full‑time permanent role allows you the opportunity to be part of a comprehensive multidisciplinary team working with adult clients in the community with physical disabilities and personal health needs. The role will see you contributing to the service by: Managing a clinical caseload providing comprehensive and evidence-based care Assisting clients/family/whānau to identify and achieve their goals Contribute collaboratively to our multidisciplinary team including, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Social Work, Needs Assessment Team, Speech Language Therapists and Therapy Assistants. Demonstrating culturally safe practice that encompasses a diverse range of beliefs, values and practices On the job training with continuous improvement and development opportunities including a well-established in-service training programmeTop of Form About the Team/Service/ Location The Community Allied Health Team is a large multidisciplinary service for adults who have physical health and disability needs and live in the Central Auckland region. Our Occupational Therapists are committed to the holistic delivery of health services by providing integrated care that is coordinated around the client and their needs. This is a rewarding role enabling people to achieve their goals, participate in and perform their occupations of choice, and live well in the community. Our Community Occupational Therapy team work across two sites; Greenlane Clinical Centre and Kahui Marino (Point Chevalier). The team is supported by a Clinical Educator and Practice Supervisor and will have regular opportunities to come together as a team for in‑service trainings and team meetings. About you As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes: New Zealand registration as an Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate Clean, full New Zealand drivers licence Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills A commitment to biculturalism. A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori. An undergraduate qualification/degree in Occupational Therapy Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
