Fixed Term/Secondment opportunitytillJune 2027 The role |Tetūnga Play a key role in the data development and delivery as part of our Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI) project, here at Stats NZ. The IDI is a world first in leading the integration of datasets to link information from key Government agencies, surveys and NGO’s, to translate into better social outcomes for all New Zealanders. More information on the project can be found in the link below; We have a newly created fixed term opportunity for an experienced Engagement Manager to assist in driving forward the engagement delivery of our innovative IDI programme of work. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in identifying emerging opportunities, strengthening strategic partnerships and creating an engagement strategy to align with our providers and channels, ensuring a robust and fit for purpose strategy is communicated both ways. Of critical importance will be enhancing the capability and monitoring the outcomes of how this strategy works with our partners, vendors and government agencies, while leveraging these relationships to ensure that we operate and function in a way that is consistent with Te Tiriti o Waitangi. The role requires a confident, collaborative and value-based practitioner who can influence across a complex environment and strengthen best practice to build knowledge and capability across the IDI and the wider team. The scope of this role includes: Lead strategic planning, engagement and partnership initiatives aligned with organisationaland projectpriorities. Develop and deliver a targeted engagement approach to build and support the IDI which both drives and supports successful transition and implementation through key milestones. Manage expectation and communicate accordingly as we transition through phases. Build andmaintainproductive, sustainable relationships with Governmentagencies,vendorsand other key stakeholders. Lead stakeholder engagement planning,governanceand communication approaches to ensure a coordinated and consistentmessagingandstrategyproposition. Communicateengagementactivities to drive change adoption and capture lessons learned to share. Provide input intocomplex stakeholder issues and escalations, ensuringpositive resolutionandlong-termsustainable relationships. Champion and advocate for the decisionsof our leadership team to be applied across teams as we integratetechnology,peopleandprocesses. Ensure engagement strategyaligns with Stats NZStrategic Engagement Model,confidentiality, privacy, and data governance requirements. What you bring |Nōuterourou To be successful in the role you must bring extensive experience in working with government agencies, Iwi/Māori, NGOs and /or have extensive with exposure in working in complex environment undergoing transformation. You must be able to influence at a senior level, being instrumental in building relationships within a partnership-based model and being able to understand, simplify and communicate complex information. What you will bring to the role: A track recordin connecting service delivery, consultation, planning,organisationalreportingand risk management. Demonstrated ability to manage complexprojects, programs of work within governance,performanceand planning frameworks. Proven experience buildingcredible and trustedrelationships, fostering collaboration, alignment and informed decision making. Experienced in providingstrategic advice and insights to senior leadership/ boardto help prioritise,identifyemerging trends,riskandopportunities. Have exemplary written and oral communication skillswith the abilityto communicate at both a technical and non-technical level and handle ambiguity with ease. Proven ability to transition organisations and people to a new way of working and introducing new systems and processes. Strong understanding ofmachinery of government processes, systems and governance with the ability to challenge, influence and negotiate at a senior level. Demonstrated experience in analysing a complex range of information, and critical thinkingto drive short term improvements andlong-termobjectives. Strong analytical, reporting andlearningcapabilitycreating a culture of accountability and continuousimprovement.
