Our 'hands on' approach is satisfying, and our culture is authentic (a recent hire of ours said 'I see now the smiles on your socials aren't fake') ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a ‘Bid Manager’ to focus on the ‘pre-award’ stage of the project lifecycle. We don't consult by analysing ‘Options’ and ‘Feasibility’ – we're a pure design & construct. FILTEC's use our expertise is renowned in NZ and we are often invited to make submissions. In this role, you'll also be Tendering. The success when jobs are won, keeps the pipeline of project work flowing for our Engineering and Construction / Installation teams who do the design, build and commissioning. Your tasks are: Preparation of EOI/ROI Documentation Preparation of financial budget and estimation of detailed pricing Identifying resource requirements, timeline and partnership to create a winning offer Bid strategy and preparation including management of progress review and update meetings Ensuring a full scope of works has been priced. Development of Bid Programme / Delivery Schedules using Microsoft Project Ensuring appropriate identification of contractual and scope risks. Mitigation where appropriate. Management of ITT and RFQs to Sub-contractors and suppliers In-house estimation of mechanical items, installation and P&G. SUCCESS PROFILE 1) Passion & Experience: working closely with a team of bright design experts to estimate and bid 2) Ambition to join dynamic, protean firm; rather than ordinary, generic D&C contractor 3) Tertiary qualifications such as a Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering OR Engineering Management ideal but not essential if you have experience in QS or Estimation 4) A background in Water Treatment is beneficial but not essential – any other ‘Engineer, Procure, Install’ OR ‘Design & Construct’ experience is valued (EPC / D&B) Are you reading this advert ... but would rather a 'Project delivery job' or perhaps 'Engineering Team Lead' role - we're also hiring for a those two roles!
