About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Medical Transcriptionist Administration Support to join our dynamic, supportive and fun environment based in Bay of Plenty. We have a permanent part time positions available.The position will be working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Please include in your cover letter how many hours you wish to be considered for. Our Transcriptionists are committed to providing an exceptional service to our clinicians, patients and whānau. This role is responsible for providing high quality and accurate typed medical documentation while ensuring compliance with hospital medical typing processes and operational requirements. You will need to cope well with a high-demand workload, and strong computer skills are essential. Key responsibilities Transcribe voice recorded medical reports dictated by physicians, nurses and other healthcare practitioners. Dictations may be received via telephone or uploaded digitally. Edit and format typed letters and medical documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency. Complete transcription work in accordance with standard practices and quality requirements. Manage and prioritise tasks based on changing workload demands, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality. To view the position description, please click here . About you To be successful in this role, you will have: The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team. Excellent organisational skills with the flexibility to manage changing priorities and workloads. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven medical transcription experience with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. A minimum typing speed of 70 words per minute with at least 85% accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and the ability to confidently use a range of computer applications.
