As a head chef, you will lead all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, menu innovation, team performance, and customer satisfaction. You'll be responsible for delivering premium food experiences while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, operational excellence, and financial performance. This is a permanent full time position. Ko o kawenga | Your responsibilities Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality, presentation, and service. Develop, cost, and manage menus while catering for diverse dietary and cultural requirements. Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing culinary team while managing rosters and performance. Oversee purchasing, stock control, food costs, wastage management, and budget performance. Maintain excellence in food safety, health & safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction standards. He kōrero mōu | About you NZQA Level 4 Cookery Certificate (or equivalent trade qualification) with extensive commercial culinary experience. Proven leadership experience managing, motivating, and developing successful kitchen teams. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing food costs, stock control, and budgets. Passion for delivering premium food experiences and exceeding customer expectations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
