Part-time applicants are welcome to apply. As a Senior Accountant, you’ll provide high-quality compliance and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients. You’ll support your Manager and collaborate with colleagues across the firm, while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to the development of a positive team environment. Key responsibilities Support a portfolio of clients and provide business advisory services across various industries and structures Prepare and review financial statements and workpapers to our standards Prepare and file tax returns (IRD compliance) Assist with complex tax matters, tax planning, and group structures Prepare cashflow forecasts and management reports as required Maintain direct communication with clients and other key stakeholders Support the accounting team with technical queries and workflow assistance Provide training and mentoring to junior staff as required CA qualification (or equivalent) and a minimum of 4 years’ accounting experience Strong technical knowledge and understanding of NZ tax and compliance Competency with Xero, Xero Practice Manager, Microsoft Office, and an openness to learn new systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset A positive, professional attitude and the ability to be a role model to others A collaborative, team-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement Key relationships Reports to: Manager Other internal relationships: Directors, Associates and all other staff External relationships: Clients, CAANZ, IRD, Financial Institutions, Banks #J-18808-Ljbffr
