Balclutha-based role Operate loader and rubbish compactor Hands-on operational role Supportive team environment About WasteCo About the Role We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Landfill Operator to join our Balclutha team. Reporting to the Site Manager, this hands-on role is responsible for operating the loader, operating the rubbish compactor, and assisting at the Transfer Station Kiosk. The successful candidate will also support customers, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the site. The role includes weekend shifts and requires flexibility with availability. Key Responsibilities Operate the loader and rubbish compactor safely and efficiently. Assist with the day-to-day operation of the Transfer Station Kiosk. Provide excellent customer service and assist customers on site. Complete daily paperwork accurately and on time. Report incidents and hazards promptly. Attend toolbox meetings and actively participate in safety initiatives. Liaise with the Site Manager regarding operational issues and fleet maintenance requirements. Follow all WasteCo policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements. Carry out other duties as reasonably required. What You\'ll Bring Experience Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Skills and Qualifications Class 2 Driver Licence. Basic computer skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Strong time management and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
