You will be based in Whakatane, working with our commercial clients throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty, providing them with reliable access to reputable, local expertise. You will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, repair and maintenance work across a variety of jobs on site for clients. You’ll need to be flexible, and able to re-prioritise workloads depending on client requirements. The role will suit someone who, along with having experience in a similar role, can work autonomously, and effectively schedule and manage their own workload. There is a requirement to be on call in this role and to be available at short notice. You’ll have plenty of initiative, and enjoy problem solving, as well as a dedication to quality workmanship. You will be highly systematic, and process orientated with a focus on accuracy and safety and of course, be excellent at dealing with clients. Your professional work ethic will ensure that you see every job completed to the highest standards. To be successful in this role you will : Be a NZ Registered Electrician (current) Hold a NZ Practising Licence (current) Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role Have an analytical and a mathematical ability Have a professional and approachable manner Be highly organised Be able to work to a high standard of accuracy, and safety Have a strong customer focus and an ability to engage professionally with a wide variety of individuals Current full and clean New Zealand Driver’s Licence Willing and able to be on call as required Be based in Whakatane, or live within an easily commutable distance, or be willing to consider relocation Be willing and able to visit customer sites throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty on a regular basis The Other Essential Attributes For This Role Include outstanding communication and interpersonal skills a results’ focused and highly driven work ethic a high level of self- motivation ability to prioritise, to problem solve and contingency plan having a sense of humour This is a great opportunity to work for an established, secure business, offering a competitive hourly rate plus overtime allowances, company vehicle, company uniform, iPad and phone allowance, plus tool allowance.
