About the team OurIntegratedPlanning group ensures the safe,reliableand cost-effective performance of Transpower’s grid assets through long-term planning and analysis. The group develops 15+ year workplans that guide investment and delivery, incorporating whole-of-lifecycle costing and risk-based decision-making. WithinIntegratedPlanning, the Portfolio Performance team providesperformance insights and visibility across Transpower’s asset, maintenance, resilience, and sustainability portfolios. The team supports Portfolio Owners and Portfolio Leads to assess delivery, understand outcomes across the asset lifecycle, and make informed decisions through portfolio analysis and Grid Development performance reporting. The opportunity– based in Wellington or Christchurch As a Senior Portfolio Performance Advisor,you'llturn complex data intoclear advicethathelps leaders make confident decisions aboutNew Zealand's electricity grid.You'llprovidevisibility ofdelivery, risk,valueand outcomes across Transpower's asset, maintenance,resilienceand sustainability portfolios, supportingbetterinvestment decisionsand long-term gridperformance. You'llidentifyrisks,opportunitiesand trends,show how delivery is trackingagainst regulatory periodobjectives,and provide early warningwhereplansor prioritiesmayneed to change. Drawing on your asset managementexpertise,you'llcontribute to maintenance prioritisation, regulatory submissions,budgetingand improvement initiatives.Yourability to connectinformation, peopleand outcomes will directly support the National Grid.You will: Lead portfolio performance reporting across asset, maintenance,resilienceand sustainability portfolios. Analyse delivery, cost, risk,serviceand asset performance information toidentifyissues and opportunities. AdvisePortfolio Owners and Leads on where plans, priorities or investment settings may need to change. Support regulatory, budgeting, assurance and improvement activities with clear analysis and evidence-based recommendations. Improve reporting frameworks, data quality,measuresand governance so leaders have reliable information for decision-making. What will you bring? Asset management knowledge, sound commercialjudgementand the ability to turn complex portfolio information into clear, useful insights.You’llalso bringthe confidence tocollaborateacross technical, delivery and corporate teams, buildingalignment without relying on positional authority. Your CV and cover letter will clearlydemonstrate: asset management experience, ideallyin infrastructure, utilities, energy,telcooranotherasset-intensiveenvironment,supported by a relevant technical and/or asset management qualification soundknowledgeof asset management principlesand techniques, including risk-based decision making, whole-of-life asset management, asset health analysis, criticalityassessmentand investment prioritisation analytical and reporting capability,includingexperience developing frameworks, measures and data sets thatprovidemeaningful portfolio insights ability totranslatecost, risk, service,deliveryand asset performance information into actionable insights, ideally using tools such as Power BI, Python,Maximoor similar platforms strong commercial acuity, risk-based decision-making capability, and excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences Join us at Transpower!
