Experienced Casual Baristas - Christchurch Join some of Christchurch's leading cafés and hospitality venues. The Recruitment Network (TRN) is currently recruiting Experienced Casual Baristas to join our casual workforce in Christchurch. We supply skilled hospitality professionals to a range of cafés, restaurants, corporate sites, event venues and hospitality businesses throughout the city. We're looking for reliable, customer-focused Baristas who have previous café experience, are highly confident behind the coffee machine, and can consistently produce high-quality coffee while delivering outstanding customer service in busy environments. What You’ll Be Doing As a Casual Barista, your duties may include: Preparing consistently high-quality espresso-based coffee Texturing milk and producing a range of café beverages Providing friendly and professional customer service Taking customer orders and operating POS/till systems Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions Preparing cabinet food and light meals when required Restocking café supplies and maintaining displays Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient coffee station Following food safety and hygiene procedures Supporting the café team during busy service periods General front and back of house duties as required What We Offer Weekly pay Flexible casual employment Regular casual shifts across seven days Opportunities to work with a variety of cafés and hospitality venues throughout Christchurch Essential Requirements To be successful, you must have: Previous experience working as a Barista in a busy café environment Strong barista skills with the ability to consistently produce high-quality espresso-based coffee Experience with milk texturing and latte art is highly desirable Experience operating POS/till systems and handling cash transactionsExcellent customer service and communication skills A positive attitude and strong work ethic The ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments Flexible availability, including weekdays, evenings and weekends Reliable transport Current New Zealand working rights (Citizen, Resident or valid work visa) Why Choose TRN?
