Operations Quality Assurance Officer - Hokitika A bit about your role As the Operations Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day quality and compliance activities within manufacturing operations. Working closely with production teams, you will help ensure products are produced safely, consistently, and to specification, while embedding food safety, GMP, and right-first-time practices on the factory floor. You will report directly to the Operations Quality Lead and work alongside Operations, Quality, and wider site teams. Acting as the link between the Quality Management System and real-time manufacturing, you will carry out in-process checks, support audits, manage non-conformances, and promote a strong quality culture across the site. This is a fixed term position until August 2027. A bit about you You are someone with several years’ experience working in a food, dairy, or FMCG manufacturing environment, with a proven understanding of quality assurance and food safety practices. You are confident working on the factory floor, applying GMP and HACCP principles in a hands-on way, and supporting operational teams to meet compliance requirements. You bring a practical, solutions-focused mindset and strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify risks and take action in real time. A confident communicator, you enjoy working collaboratively with operators and supervisors, building strong relationships while encouraging accountability and continuous improvement.
