You Will Be Responsible For, And Highly Competent In Installation of HVAC, heat pumps/air conditioning units into existing buildings, new builds and commercial buildings, including high wall units Installation of split, ducted, cassette and multi-system heat pumps/air conditioning systems Diagnostics, and fault identification Engaging and communicating with a wide variety of individuals in relation to the role You will be a key member of a small, skilled team. Being a team player, yet being able to work autonomously when required is important in this role. You will have a strong work ethic and a mechanical mindset, taking pride in your work and demonstrating a delivery focused attitude and approach. Whilst ideally looking for an experienced installer, Dobsons is willing to consider individuals with HVAC servicing knowledge who are keen to expand their skills into HVAC installation, or apprentices currently working towards their NZ Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. To Be Successful In This Role You Will Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role before Have a sound practical knowledge of air conditioning systems Have a working knowledge of engineering practices such as ducting, welding, pipe fitting and fabrication Be physically fit, able to lift heavy items, and able to work effectively in varying temperatures Have a mechanical and mathematical ability Have a high level of attention to detail. Have a professional and approachable manner Be highly organised Be able to work to a high standard of accuracy, and safety Have a strong customer focus and an ability to engage professionally with a wide variety of individuals Ideally be familiar with job management software/scheduling systems such as simPRO, however training will be provided Hold a current full and clean New Zealand Driver’s Licence Be willing and able to visit customer sites on a regular basis The Other Essential Attributes For This Role Include outstanding communication and interpersonal skills a results’ focused and highly driven work ethic a high level of self-motivation ability to prioritise, to problem solve and contingency plan having a sense of humour This is a great opportunity to work for an established, growing business, offering a competitive hourly rate plus overtime allowances, company vehicle, company uniform, iPad and phone allowance, plus tool allowance.
