Building Compliance Officer or Senior Building Compliance Officer Location: 15 Forth Street, Invercargill Department: Monitoring and Compliance Employment type: Permanent Full Time Work Arrangement: On-site We're looking for a Building Compliance Officer or Senior Building Compliance Officer to join our Monitoring and Compliance team. Whether you're an experienced building professional looking to transition into a compliance career, or an established Building Compliance Officer ready for a senior role, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do You'll help ensure buildings across the district continue to meet their compliance obligations, with a focus on Building Warrants of Fitness (BWOFs) and specified systems. Key responsibilities include: Auditing and inspecting BWOF buildings Monitoring IQP and specified system compliance Investigating non-compliance and undertaking enforcement activities Issuing notices and documentation under the Building Act Maintaining accurate records and reporting Supporting quality improvement across the team As a Senior Building Compliance Officer, you\'ll also mentor other officers, lead more complex investigations and provide technical support across the team. About You Building Compliance Officer Experience in building, construction, inspections, building control or a related field Understanding of the Building Act and Building Code, or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge Strong communication, judgement and problem-solving skill We\'re looking for a Building Compliance Officer or Senior Building Compliance Officer to join our Monitoring and Compliance team.
