This is a varied, hands-on role where you will provide coordination, advice and practical support across health and safety systems, compliance activity, reporting, wellbeing initiatives and continuous improvement projects. In this role, you will contribute to that purpose by helping ensure our people are supported to work safely, make good decisions and manage risk across our workplaces. About the role Reporting into our Health, Safety & Wellbeing function, you’ll play a key role in building strong relationships, supporting safe ways of working and helping embed health and safety ownership across DairyNZ. Your key responsibilities will include: Coordinate incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, compliance requirements and ACC documentation. Maintain accurate health and safety records, training information, risk registers and safety documentation. Manage contractor health and safety prequalification, documentation and ongoing compliance requirements. Support wellbeing initiatives, including health monitoring, vaccinations, workstation assessments and awareness activities. Prepare clear health, safety and wellbeing reports, updates and committee documentation. Contribute to learning resources, online modules, how-to guides and continuous improvement projects. About you You may already be working as a Health & Safety Advisor, or you may be an experienced coordinator ready to take the next step in your career. Either way, you’ll bring a strong service mindset, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work with people at all levels. You’ll be comfortable managing systems and information, coordinating multiple priorities and communicating clearly with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll be confident using technology, quick to learn new systems and comfortable working with sensitive information. Most importantly, you’ll bring curiosity, sound judgement and a customer-focused approach that helps you build positive relationships across the organisation. Experience in agriculture, research or field-based environments would be an advantage, but what matters most is your ability to provide practical support, build trust and help make health, safety and wellbeing part of everyday work. To be successful, you’ll have: A diploma-level qualification in health and safety, administration or business studies, or equivalent experience. At least three years’ experience in a busy coordination, administration or advisory support role. A good understanding of New Zealand health and safety legislation, systems and compliance requirements. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. High attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, timely and quality work. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Sound judgement, professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information. A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a positive, one-team culture.
