Due to continued growth and focus on enhancing shared services capabilities, they are seeking an experienced Credit Control Team Lead to join their Auckland-based finance team. The Role Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, this leadership position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the credit control and accounts receivable function while leading a team of Credit Controllers and Accounts Receivable Administrators. This role offers a blend of people leadership, credit risk management, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement. You will be responsible for ensuring strong collection performance, minimising commercial risk, supporting customer relationships, and driving efficiencies across the function. Key Responsibilities Include Leading, mentoring and developing the credit and receivables team Driving collection activities and ensuring receivables are collected within agreed terms Managing complex, high-value and key customer accounts Reviewing credit applications, credit limits and trading terms Monitoring and mitigating credit risk across the customer portfolio Maintaining PPSR registrations and supporting insolvency and recovery processes Liaising with collection agencies, liquidators and external stakeholders when required Preparing receivables reporting, ageing analysis and management insights Completing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting audit requirements Leading credit-related projects and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives Developing and implementing performance measures and reporting frameworks Role Requirements To Be Successful In This Position, You Will Bring Ideally a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline Proven experience leading a credit control and accounts receivable team (3+) within a large or complex organisation Strong knowledge of credit management, collections, risk assessment and receivables processes Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience working with large-scale ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics AX or a similar platform Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A continuous improvement mindset and experience reviewing and enhancing processes High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen The ability to influence, coach and develop team members to achieve operational objectives Exposure to the construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial or related sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
