About the opportunity | Te whai waahi This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager based in the Taranaki region to play a pivotal role in delivering high profile projects in the On Farm Excellence space aligning with key strategic objectives. You will utilise best practice project management techniques to ensure projects are planned, executed, and closed to the highest standards. This role involves a high level of collaboration across various business units and external partners, managing stakeholder expectations, and providing subject matter expertise throughout the project lifecycle. In this role, you will manage and deliver projects independently, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Engaging with key stakeholders is essential, as you will provide regular updates and reports on project status. You will regularly review project progress and track outcomes against established goals, while also monitoring risks and implementing effective risk management strategies. Additionally, you will negotiate and oversee contracts with external providers to ensure project delivery. You will motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring that roles are clearly defined and executed. Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will be vital for facilitating project success. Lastly, you will ensure thorough documentation and effective knowledge transfer within the team and to external stakeholders. This is a fixed-term position until mid‑April 2027, covering a maternity leave. About you | Moe koe You are resilient, have a competitive drive and a passion for the dairy industry, a self-starter with unparalleled stakeholder management skills, you love to solve challenges. Your understanding and passion for agriculture will help you connect well with key stakeholders. You will need to have experience in on farm efficiency and how this influences emissions. Expertise in on‑farm communication or promoting behaviour change is preferred. You need to be able to commit to at least three days on‑site in Whareroa, as this role requires in‑person connection. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools. Excellent communication and relationship management skills. Ability to lead and inspire cross‑functional teams. Commercial awareness and experience in budget preparation. Familiarity with Intellectual Property management best practices. Proficient in documentation and knowledge management systems like SharePoint.
