Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager

Description This newly scoped Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager role sits at a single Auckland manufacturing site, reporting into the senior operations leadership team. You’ll take ownership of on-the-ground H&S standards, compliance documentation and safety culture, partnering closely with the Operations and Manufacturing Managers to lift performance across the site. Key Responsibilities Own day-to-day H&S standards and compliance across a single manufacturing and warehousing site Lift documentation and reporting to meet regulatory and audit requirements Partner closely with the Operations and Manufacturing Managers to embed safety on the floor Lead incident investigations using ICAM methodology, driving practical corrective action Design and deliver H&S training, inductions and toolbox talks on site Build a proactive safety culture, not just a compliance-focused one Identify and implement continuous improvement across H&S systems and processes Report on H&S performance and risk to senior leadership Key Skills & Experience Required Proven H&S management experience in warehousing, manufacturing or FMCG environments ICAM trained, with genuine experience leading incident investigations Strong written and verbal communication across all levels of the business A track record of implementing change, not just documenting it Relevant H&S qualification (NZ Diploma in OSH or equivalent) preferred A dynamic, solutions-focused approach with a positive view of improvement opportunities Comfortable operating autonomously as the on-site H&S lead What’s In It For You This is a genuine opportunity to shape H&S standards on the ground rather than simply administer them, with real autonomy to make visible change.
