We're looking for an Assurance Manager to join our team and play a key role in providing independent assurance across our operations. Mō te Tūranga | About the role\n

As an Assurance Manager, you'll help ensure our processes, controls, and ways of working are operating as intended. You'll conduct independent reviews and assurance activities, assessing whether teams are following policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.

\n

Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, you'll provide valuable insights and feedback, identify areas of risk, and support the continuous improvement of operational practices across the business.

\n

This role combines assurance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement. It's an opportunity to make a genuine impact by helping strengthen our control environment and improving the way we operate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assurance reviews across business processes, controls, and operational activities.
  • \n
  • Assessing adherence to policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
  • \n
  • Identifying risks, control weaknesses, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • \n
  • Providing clear, constructive feedback and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Supporting business teams to strengthen compliance and risk management practices.
  • \n
  • Monitoring outcomes and following up on agreed actions and improvements.
  • \n
  • Building effective relationships across the business to drive positive change.
  • \n

We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

You bring:

\n
    \n
  • Experience in risk, compliance, assurance, audit, governance, operational excellence, or a related discipline.
  • \n
  • A understanding of risk management and control environments.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and provide constructive feedback.
  • \n
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a natural curiosity to investigate and understand how things work.
  • \n
  • Experience reviewing processes to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to challenge where appropriate.
  • \n
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.
  • \n

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • Experience within Payments Operations or broader banking operations.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, operational risk, or control testing methodologies.
  • \n
\n
