Job Description

TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Research and Data Adviser to join the operations team in Te Kura Tangata - Development and Alumni Relations Office on a 12-month, part-time contract to cover parental leave. Key responsibilities: Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and day-to-day administration of the Raiser’s Edge NXT database, including data imports, record maintenance, duplicate resolution, and data quality assurance tasks. Develop and deliver queries, exports and reports to support fundraising, alumni engagement, events, and strategic decision-making. Create and manage online donation forms, constituent records, contact preferences, memberships, and communication lists to support donor and stakeholder engagement. Support operations colleagues with project and research requests, as required, and on occasion support events delivery (i.e. graduation). You will be a motivated, detail-oriented individual who can pick up new systems quickly, use your initiative to seek answers and use your time efficiently. Key requirements: Exceptional attention to detail, with experience managing data and using systems/software. A strong commitment to professionalism and integrity, with experience handling confidential information. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Excellent organisational skills to prioritise tasks and complete a wide variety of data management tasks. You’ll work onsite joining our supportive, friendly and professional operations team.
