Lead UX/UI Designer

We’re looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer to join our fast-paced agency environment Our award-winning design team is looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer to help create high-quality design communications. You'll work alongside Producers, Creatives and Account teams to produce engaging websites for businesses, campaigns, and products that push digital craft and brand experience. The role Our Lead UX/UI Designer will lead the UX/UI team and the design function, championing best-in-class delivery and ensuring the work we deliver reflects a deep understanding of the user needs and the experience flows logically from one step to the next. Beyond the design, you’ll be the go-to person to educate the agency, and clients, on the value of UX, UI principles and champion its application across our brands. You’ll manage a small team of UX/UI designers and look after their growth and development in the business. Key responsibilities Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to stakeholders. Define interaction models, user task flows, information architecture and UI specifications. Work with creative teams to balance UX requirements with brand and business requirements in all digital deliverables Ensuring that all deliverables visually communicate the specified UX vision and path Creation of digital style guidelines Establish and maintain processes to ensure that UX thinking is incorporated, where relevant in each project we undertake All work is done to agreed deadlines and within budget Work across all agency teams as appropriate to projects. What will you bring? Strong understanding of the principles and application of User Experience design Minimum of 5+ years’ UX and/or UI design experience in an agency or web development business Deep understanding of the nature and limitations of the experience able to be delivered on digital delivery platforms (including web, mobile, email, social, app) Thorough understanding of User Interface design best practice Ability to communicate design concepts Ability to work to timeframes and with a wider team Strong skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop and Illustrator). Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new digital tools and workflows. Experience with UX/UI, website design, prototyping or motion design is advantageous but not essential.
