Receptionist | Lumino Pitt Street | Fixed Term, Full Time Full-time Region: South Island Lumino Pitt Street is a busy, well-established dental practice located in the heart of Dunedin. Our passionate team is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in a welcoming, supportive, and professional environment. As part of Lumino The Dentists , New Zealand's largest dental network, you'll be joining a trusted brand that supports over 120 practices nationwide and is committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences. We are looking for a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team on a fixed-term contract through to April 2027. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play an important role in creating a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy helping people, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Key responsibilities include: Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and welcoming manner Managing appointment bookings and patient enquiries Answering phone calls and responding to emails Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team with administrative tasks Ensuring the reception area remains tidy, organised, and patient-ready Hours for this role : Monday - Tuesday : 7:00am to 4:00pm Wenesday - Friday : 9:00am to 5:00pm This fixed-term opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, loves interacting with people, and is looking to join a supportive and collaborative team. To be successful in this role, you'll bring: Previous reception, administration, or customer service experience Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Confidence using computer systems and learning new technology A positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude The ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment Previous dental or healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
