Our goal is simple – to become the market leader. To be the best. We're looking for a reliable and motivated Freight Checker / Storeperson to join our busy Auckland team. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for receiving, checking, and processing freight while assisting with the administration that keeps our operation running efficiently. You'll work closely with our warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to ensure freight is handled safely, accurately, and delivered on time. Every item you receive, inspect, record, and dispatch contributes to delivering the service our customers rely on every day. Your attention to detail and willingness to support both warehouse and administrative functions help ensure freight flows accurately, safely, and efficiently throughout our network. The key responsibilities of this position are: Receive, check, and accurately process inbound and outbound freight Inspect freight for accuracy and report any discrepancies or damage Scan, label, and record freight using operational systems Complete data entry and maintain accurate freight records Prepare and process freight documentation Ensure freight is correctly sorted, staged, and ready for dispatch Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure efficient freight movement Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment Follow company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times Provide general warehouse and operational support as required To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, freight, logistics, distribution, retail, or storeperson role is advantageous but not essential Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Good computer skills with confidence completing data entry Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work Strong communication and organisational skills Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks A positive attitude and willingness to learn Forklift experience or a current forklift certificate is an advantage but not essential - full training will be provided for the right person What we offer Permanent, full-time employment with one of New Zealand's leading transport and logistics providers Full training and ongoing support A varied role combining warehouse operations and administration Opportunities to develop your skills and grow your career within Mainstream A supportive team environment where everyone works together Competitive remuneration and the stability of a growing national business If you're dependable, detail-focused, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your contribution makes a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
