Rural Sales Representative
Are you passionate about agriculture, animal health and helping farmers succeed?
We're looking for a commercially minded Rural Sales Representative to join our team and help drive growth across our rural clinics. This is more than a sales role. You'll work alongside our veterinarians, technicians, and customer service teams to grow rural sales, strengthen client relationships, build capability and identify opportunities that deliver value for our farming clients and our business.
What you'll be doing:
- Grow rural product sales through proactive client engagement and farm visits
- Coach and support clinic teams to build confidence in animal health products and commercial conversations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key farming clients.
- Work alongside Branch Managers to identify sales opportunities and develop local sales strategies.
- Support seasonal marketing campaigns, field days, client events and community initiatives
- Provide sales reporting and commercial insights to support business decisions.
- Work with clinic teams to optimise inventory, merchandising and product availability
About you
You'll be someone who enjoys working with people just as much as products. You understand farming, are commercially minded and love helping others succeed.
You'll bring:
- An Agribusiness qualification (or similar) or relevant rural industry experience.
- Experience in agribusiness, animal health, rural retail or business development
- A passion for agriculture and animal health
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent organisational skills
- The ability to influence, coach and support others
- A current full driver's licence.
Why join us?
At Franklin Vets, we're locally owned, and deeply connected to our rural communities. All 22 of our owners work in the business and are committed to ensuring it is a great place to work.
You'll become part of a collaborative team passionate about supporting New Zealand farmers and rural communities. This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping both our clients and our clinic teams succeed.
If you're passionate about agriculture, enjoy building relationships and want to contribute to the growth of a progressive veterinary business, we'd love to hear from you.
