Drainage Crew Member

Drainage Crew Member Join a busy civil contractor working on drainage and underground infrastructure projects across Wellington. Location: Wellington Start date: Immediate start available Pay rate: $28–$35 per hour Key Responsibilities Install stormwater, wastewater, and water main pipelines Excavate and prepare trenches for pipe installation and drainage works Lay, align, and connect pipes to project specifications Assist with manhole, culvert, and catchpit installation Backfill, compact, and reinstate work areas once installations are complete Work safely around excavators and other heavy machinery Read site plans and follow instructions from supervisors Carry out general labouring duties to support the drainage crew Maintain a safe, clean, and organised worksite while following health and safety requirements What You'll Need Previous drainage or civil construction experience Full Class 1 Driver Licence (Class 2 and WTR endorsements advantageous) Confined Space or ConstructSafe certification is beneficial Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors Strong work ethic with a reliable, team-focused attitude Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test What's In It For You?
