Gate Gourmet part of the Gate Group a global company are now looking for an experienced Project Manager - Construction to oversee our new purpose-built Airline Catering facility development based at Auckland Airport . This is a 2 year full-time (Fixed Term Contract) . This "hands on" role will oversee see the inception to the final handover of the new facility, so it is envisaged that you are a visionary leader, highly collaborative, focussed on building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business. Leading the future project of design, construction, fit-out, equipment installation, commissioning and operational readiness of the new manufacturing site. Your new role: Develop and manage the overall project plan, schedule, milestones and budget Coordinate the recruitment of Architects, Engineers, and other Specialist Consultants Procurement of General Contractors for the construction / fit out Review drawings and specifications Establishment of baseline timelines. Control of programme and schedule to ensure the project meets required timelines Offer alternative solutions or resolve problems arising during construction / refurbishment Responsible to Requests for information from Consultants and General Contractors Control and creation of budgets and ongoing approval, forecasting, monitoring, control payment of all spends Liaison with gateopex, Head office, regional, local teams for standards and requirements ensuring these are built into the facility Procurement of equipment, vehicles and other fixtures and fittings in order that the facility is fully operational and handed over to operations Manage of defects after completion Reporting to Steering committee and other parties on a regular basis Control and reporting of risk register with mitigations ensuring the project meets timelines and budget Negotiates license and operating permits with landlords, regulatory and airport authorities Coordinates with Legal Risk and Compliance to ensure agreements, permits and implementation adequately protect the company from risk and meet the companies' operational requirements Developing scope of work and specifications and negotiating the award of vendor service and supply contracts Oversee facility design to ensure it meets operational, food safety and airline catering requirements Strong safety-first focus, caring for the team Ensure the facility complies with food safety regulations and industry standards Coordinate implementation HACCP and food quality management systems Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal departments Coordinate with airline customers regarding operational requirements What You'll Need: 5+ years project management experience, previous airline operations experience would be preferred, or similar experience within Construction Management, Property, Architecture, Engineering or rated discipline will be highly regarded Demonstrated delivering construction projects from inception to completion Strong understanding of budgeting, procurement, contract administration and cost control Experience managing consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders Construction methodologies, statutory approvals, building regulations and WHS requirements Ability to understand and interpret complicated engineers' drawings, intermediate AutoCAD or similar Excellent communicator with exceptional stakeholder skill Strong commercial acumen problem - solving Proactive problem solver with an eye for detail Able to work independently and in a teamIntermediate Microsoft Office project software What We Offer: Global company means more opportunities to develop you and your personal career further Flexibility Be supported with leadership and professional development Reward & Recognition - Feel valued in the workplace and appreciated for your efforts Access to an employee Assistance program a Wellbeing App which provides confidential support for employees Discounted Health & Fitness pass for employees and their family #J-18808-Ljbffr
