Machine Operator

Machine Operator We’re looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy crew in Queenstown. You’ll be operating machinery across a variety of projects while working closely with ground crews to keep the job moving safely and efficiently. Location: Queenstown Start date: Immediate Pay rate: $30–$38 per hour depending on experience What’s in it for you: Weekly pay Immediate start Variety of machine operating work Work across different Queenstown projects Supportive and hardworking site crews Potential for ongoing work What you’ll be doing: Operating machinery safely and efficiently Carrying out excavation, loading and general earthworks Completing trenching, backfilling and site preparation where required Working around ground crews and other machinery Following site plans, levels and supervisor instructions Completing pre-start and daily machinery checks Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety issues Maintaining good awareness of people and hazards around the machine Assisting with general site duties when required Following all site health and safety procedures What we’re looking for: Previous machine operating experience Current WTR endorsements Full NZ driver licence Experience operating excavators, loaders or similar machinery Confidence working on busy construction and civil sites Good understanding of earthworks and site procedures Strong health and safety awareness Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a crew Good communication skills Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Why work with Tradestaff?
