You\'ll support the maintenance and operation of the roading network through a variety of activities, including: Operating plant and machinery that you are trained and competent to use Carrying out manual labouring and civil construction tasks Road, drainage and footpath maintenance works Pothole repairs and potholing activities across the network Completing daily pre-start and equipment inspections Participating in toolbox meetings and safety initiatives Identifying and managing workplace hazards Assisting with emergency response and after-hours callouts when required Completing relevant paperwork and electronic records Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members This role plays an important part in helping us maintain the network safely and efficiently for our clients and communities. What we\'re looking for We\'re keen to hear from people who: Hold a minimum Class 2 Driver Licence Have a clean driving record Have practical experience in civil construction, roading or maintenance environments Are physically fit and enjoy outdoor work Work well within a team Have a strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing Can communicate effectively and follow instructions Are comfortable using digital devices such as tablets and smartphones to complete work records, inspections, reporting and other day-to-day documentation. Are reliable, proactive and willing to learn It would be advantageous if you also have: W, T and R endorsements Class 4 or Class 5 licence Why HEB? At HEB, we\'ve got your back.
