Job Description
What you'll be doing: Assist trade customers, walk-ins, and phone enquiries with part identification and product selection. Prepare quotes, sales orders, and invoices using MYOB Advanced (Acumatica), and process counter sales via EFTPOS. Work with customers to resolve order discrepancies, delivery delays, and product returns efficiently, ensuring a positive experience every time. Store and Warehouse: Check incoming shipments from local and international suppliers for accuracy and damage, then accurately receipt stock into MYOB Advanced (Acumatica). Verify part numbers and store products in the correct warehouse locations, maintaining an organised and efficient inventory system. Prepare customer orders for courier collection, ensuring products are packed carefully and securely to prevent damage. Assist with cycle counts, stock takes, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Maintaining a clean, tidy, and hazard-free trade counter and warehouse. Following safe manual handling practices when lifting or moving stock. What we are looking for: Somebody that can start immediately, as this role is covering leave. Experience in a trade counter, automotive parts, industrial supplies, warehousing, or similar environment. Experience working with seals, bearings, hydraulics, fluid power components, or other mechanical parts will be highly regarded. Confidence using inventory management or ERP systems such as MYOB Advanced, SAP, Pronto, or similar. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Skills and Attributes: Excellent attention to detail - A small difference in a part number can make a big difference in performance, so accuracy matters to ensure the correct items are ordered and picked. Customer-focused mindset - You genuinely enjoy helping people and finding solutions to keep their operations running smoothly. Team player with initiative - You're happy to roll up your sleeves, jump in to assist the stores operations, at the end of each day, to ensure all orders are packaged and ready to go. You will be part of a small team that pitches in wherever needed. The ideal candidate will be just as comfortable working at a computer as they are rolling up their sleeves to help out in the stores area. Reliable and organised - You can manage competing priorities, stay on top of details, and keep things moving when the pace picks up. You will need to be available for the full duration of this assignment as there will be time invested in training you into this role. If you're someone who enjoys helping customers, takes pride in getting the details right, and doesn't mind getting your hands dirty from time to time, we'd love to hear from you. As part of our commitment to a safe and positive workplace, you'll need to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and have a clean criminal history. Got questions? we'd love to hear from you!
