About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinician with strong mental health & addictions leadership experience to work within our Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) within the Mental Health & Addiction Services. Pleaseclick hereto view the position description About the Team/Service/ Location Our Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team is currently looking for a skilled and passionate mental health professional. The role is vital to the mental health of our children and young people across Taranaki as you will be supporting them through their journey along with their whanau. You will be working within the community and within our integrated model of care. There will be opportunities and support for professional development and ongoing role development. The team works with children and young people 4-18 years of age and has close links with other child health staff including Paediatricians, inpatient facility staff and Non-Government Organisations. We are looking for: Registered Health Professional with Current Practicing Certificate (allied and nursing) Passion for Mental Health & Addictions, exceptional interpersonal & communication skills. 2 years experience within specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health required What youll do with your time Undertake all components of key working, including comprehensive assessment, risk assessment and management, wellness and treatment planning Provides client-centred care, utilising evidence-based treatment strategies including, where appropriate, talking therapies Coordinate care at the right time with input from external providers Assisting across the wider team where needed We are looking for individuals with the following traits Excellent assessment, communication & relationship building skills Flexibility to work autonomously as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team Understanding and application of the principles of the treaty of Waitangi, with a culturally safe and appropriate approach to practice Ability to work under pressure, be a good team player, and positively contribute to service delivery; Adept at developing strong working relationships both within specialist Mental Health & Addiction Services as well as Iwi, NGO and primary stakeholders Excellent interpersonal skills is a must as well as a commitment to continuous learning, is innovative and whai ora/whanau focused For more information about the position, contact Kathy Shaw, Clinical Team Leader - CAMHS on 06 753 6139 or via email [email protected] Applications close on 24 August 2026. #J-18808-Ljbffr
