Mō te tūnga | About the role We are looking for an IT Programme Coordinator to join our Infrastructure & Digital Assets team at Ara Poutama Aotearoa, Department of Corrections. This role is pivotal in helping deliver a broad range of digital initiatives across the organisation. Reporting to the Corporate Systems Manager, you will work closely with Programme and Project Managers across a diverse portfolio, ensuring plans, reporting, governance activities, and financial information are well managed and on track. You will be responsible for coordinating meetings, workshops, and governance processes while maintaining key programme documentation, tracking actions, and helping teams meet critical milestones. You will also work alongside internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects progress smoothly and deliver expected outcomes. What makes this role exciting? You have strong written communication skills and can produce clear, concise documentation, reports, presentations, and meeting minutes. Highly organised and detail-focused, you are comfortable managing multiple priorities, keeping stakeholders informed, and helping teams stay on track to deliver outcomes. You enjoy working with a wide range of people and adapting information to suit different audiences. You are a practical problem-solver who takes initiative, builds positive working relationships, and is always looking for ways to improve how things are done. You are also comfortable working with financial information and take pride in maintaining accurate reporting. Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience Project coordination experience, with strong organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, including minute-taking. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project and Visio. Knowledge of project methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2) and Azure DevOps. Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records. Utu ā-tau | Salary The midpoint of the salary range is $93,688 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $79,635 - $112,426 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
