Class 2 Excavator Operator

Class 2 Excavator Operator We're seeking an experienced Class 2 Excavator Operator who takes pride in precision digging, backfilling, and safe machine operation. Location: Wellington Start date: Immediate start available Pay rate: $32–$40 per hour Key Responsibilities Operate excavators safely and efficiently on civil construction sites Carry out precise excavation, backfilling, and final trim work Excavate for drainage, water, and utility installations Load trucks and move materials around site Work safely around live services and underground utilities Read site plans and work to project specifications Complete daily machine checks and basic equipment maintenance Assist ground crews with general site duties when required Maintain a safe and tidy worksite while following health and safety procedures What You'll Need Previous experience operating excavators on civil construction projects Proven backfilling experience with a high level of accuracy Full Class 2 Driver Licence WTR endorsements required Ability to work safely around underground services Good understanding of civil construction and health and safety practices Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well within a team Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test What's In It For You?
