About the Role As a Registered Nurse at Kaitaia Hospital, you will be working within the Outpatients Department to: Providing quality nursing care and support to patients, utilising your professional knowledge and skill, to provide a holistic approach of nursing care that is safe and of the highest quality possible. About the Team/Service/Location Kaitaia Hospital is Health New Zealands northernmost hospital. It is a general hospital serving a widely scattered population. The 20 bed hospital has a general ward, maternity and emergency ward with all the supporting services, and provides a substantial community health service. The After Hours Clinic is part of the Outpatient Department is fully functional for presentations in evenings and weekends. They work on a shift roster which will involve evenings and weekends. For more information on living and working in Northland click here About you As a Registered Nurse, you need to have excellent communication skills, who can thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in the face of changing priorities. You will have Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing Certificate Current full drivers licence Time management skills Communication skills A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Maori Previous experience in a rural clinical setting would be beneficial, however not essential to apply.
