Legal Counsel (Legislation)

Bring your legislative experience to this important role supporting our nationally significant mahi! Open to Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel level. Permanent, full-time role. Wellington or Auckland based. The role We are recruiting for a Legal Counsel (Legislation) or Senior Legal Counsel (Legislation) to join our busy Legal Services Directorate. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel (Legislation), you will provide expert legal advice. You will enjoy engaging with the legal, policy, and operational teams at the Reserve Bank to deliver results. About you a proven ability to provide high quality and robust legal advice an interest in financial regulation high quality written and oral presentation and communication skills the ability to build and maintain strong relationships to work in partnership with our policy and operational teams and with external lawyers, as required You must be eligible to hold a current New Zealand legal practising certificate Who we are We're kaitiaki (guardians) of New Zealand's financial ecosystem - enabling economic wellbeing and prosperity for all New Zealanders.
