Classroom Teacher

Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 12/10/2026, End Date: 11/12/2026 (Roll growth) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts The Forest School is growing, and we are looking for a wonderful teacher to join our team for term 4 as we welcome new children into our school. This is a fixed‑term position for a mixed age class of Years 4 to 6. There may be opportunities for ongoing employment beyond the fixed term, subject to confirmed 2027 roll and staffing requirements. You will be someone who: places relationships, connection and belonging at the heart of teaching is curious about or experienced in Reggio Emilia-inspired practice sees the environment as an integral part of teaching and learning loves being outdoors and is comfortable teaching in a highly dynamic environment values creativity, inquiry, play and authentic learning alongside strong literacy and numeracy teaching is warm, flexible, collaborative and willing to get stuck in most importantly, genuinely wants to do something different for kids. Experience with Reggio Emilia or outdoor education is wonderful, but mindset and alignment with our philosophy matter enormously to us.
