Job Description

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts 2 MU + 1FTU We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic leader to join our TIS team. This position is to lead a team of three additional kaiako, teaching in a Year 7 and 8 flexible learning environment, starting t erm 1, 2027. We seek a leader of improvement. At Tauranga Intermediate the team leader is a leader of learning and culture, responsible for supporting and coaching a team of teachers to deliver high-impact, culturally sustaining teaching and learning. They are accountable for their team's academic outcomes and improvement. They are responsible for student wellbeing, staff development within their team, and ensuring the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi are central to the team’s practices. All team leaders are expertly supported by our collaborative senior leadership team. Underpinning all learning experiences are the school’s values of manaakitia, whanaungatanga, ka taea, whakamanatia and pārekareka, ensuring the hauora of our ākonga is central to learning.
