About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Awhi Mātua Fraser McDonald Unit. In this role, you will provide expert psychological support to our whaiora while helping to bridge care between our in-patient unit, community teams, and allied services such as rest homes and private hospitals. You will offer specialist consultation to the multi-disciplinary team and meaningfully contribute to integrated, person-centred care that makes a real difference in the lives of whaiora. About the Team/Service/ Location Located on the Auckland City Hospital site, Awhi Mātua Fraser McDonald is a 15-bed acute admission unit providing 24/7 specialist care. We offer comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for people experiencing acute mental illness or behavioural challenges related to dementia. Our multidisciplinary team includes Consultant Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Physiotherapist, Nurse Educator, Mental Health Assistants, a Team Administrator, Registrar, and House Officer all working together to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
