Service Specialist

You’ll be out in a fully equipped lube truck, visiting customer sites across the Bay of Plenty and Taupo regions, helping to keep Caterpillar machines running at their best. This is a practical, varied role where you’ll work independently, build strong relationships with customers, and be supported by a knowledgeable team. What you’ll be doing Checking, changing and refilling fluids and lubricants Completing filter changes Carrying out software upgradesInspecting machine systems and components Performing minor mechanical or body repairs Cleaning engines and equipment Completing service and inspection reports What’s in it for you Competitive hourly rate: $36.33 – $46.48, depending on experience Paid overtime after 8 hours, if required $2,000 pa tool allowance Industry‑leading training, including Technician Development & Master Technician programmes Secondment opportunities to Antarctica, NZ mines, Australia and Pacific Island Cat dealers Discount fuel card (for family use too) Subsidised medical insurance $‑for‑$ superannuation contributions up to 6.5% PPE and uniform provided A supportive team culture and an active social club What we’re looking for A qualified and experienced heavy diesel technician Full NewZealand driver’s licence (Class 2 preferred) A positive attitude and good communication skills Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys delivering great service to customers About Terra Cat Terra Cat is the NewZealand Caterpillar dealer, with 18 locations nationwide from Whangārei to Invercargill.
