About the Role Be part of a close-knit team of 6 Registrars, 13 Consultants with exposure to a wide range of cases, including: Orthopaedic arthroplasty and trauma Urology and colorectal surgery Obstetrics Visiting specialties including ENT, plastic, paediatric specialist surgery and spinal and exposure to critical care when required. Providing elective and emergency services to the community, as well as acute pain management to patients following surgery or trauma, or during labour. One year of accredited training at any level for ANZCA trainees. You will have 24/7 access to the library, the opportunity to attend hospital Grand Rounds, RMO forums, and exposure to a range of presentations to the hospital - all of which will equip you with a broad skill base to serve you well as you progress in your career. About you Our ideal candidate will have: Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at MCNZA minimum of 2 years post qualification experience and at least 12 months Anaesthesia experience. It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
