Duty Manager/Retail Assistant

Are you a retail superstar? Do you enjoy helping customers, and sharing a bit of banter with the regulars? This could be the role for you. We need a part time retail assistant for our busy Super Liquor store in Elmwood. Hours are part time, 8-10 hours per week. You must be available every Friday and Saturday night 4 or 5pm -9pm. Sundays may be available in the future for the right candidate. A current Duty Manager's Certificate is not essential but would be an advantage. If you don't have a Manager's Certificate but have the LCQ and have worked 6 months' in the industry, this could be your chance to upskill and get your Manager's Certificate. We are looking for someone very reliable, who can show initiative, and go the extra mile to ensure that customers' needs are met, so they leave the store satisfied. If you have an outgoing and pleasant personality, a strong work ethic and you are able to work well under pressure, this could be the role for you. We are looking for someone who Has a current Manager’s Certificate or be eligible to apply for one ( ie have the LCQ and at least 6 months' experience in the liquor industry and be over 20 years of age) Has a great knowledge of wine, loves spirits, and is interested in craft beer. Is available Friday and Saturday evenings, up to 10 hours per week. Be physically fit and healthy and able to handle stock. Have an outgoing and pleasant personality, and enjoy a bit of banter with the customers. Be reliable and have a strong work ethic and be able to work well under pressure. This role may suit a student. Additional hours may be available in the lead up to Christmas. Please note, this job is not suitable for people who require Visa sponsorship.
