Job Description
Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Corporate Facilities & Contracts Coordinator Auckland Council's Corporate Property team is looking for a Facilities and Contracts Coordinator to help deliver and maintain fit-for-purpose corporate facilities across Tāmaki Makaurau. This is a hands‑on coordination role at the heart of how we keep council buildings safe, well‑run, and ready to support the people who work in them. You'll work closely with the Corporate Facilities Management team, contractors, and internal stakeholders to keep maintenance programmes on track, contracts compliant, and service delivery running smoothly all while supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of Auckland Council staff. What you'll be doing Supporting the implementation of facility management and maintenance service plans that deliver value for money Assisting with contract documentation, scopes of work, and requests for proposals (RFPs) Monitoring contractor performance against service levels, response times, and quality standards Processing variation requests from facilities managers and vendors Conducting site audits and inspections to ensure delivery aligns with legislation, best practice, and contract terms Maintaining accurate project, maintenance, and financial records to support reporting Building strong working relationships with contractors, landlords, and internal stakeholders Contributing ideas for continuous improvement across facilities operations What we're looking for: 4-5+ years' experience in facilities management, property, or building management Experience assisting with asset and facilities management plans, contractor performance, and budget management Strong administrative and record‑keeping skills, with real attention to detail Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with contractors and stakeholders at all levels Working knowledge of health and safety and contractor compliance requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); A relevant diploma in a property/facility - elated field is desirable A current NZ driver's licence is required Property or facilities experience managing landlord/tenant relationships is a bonus, not essential Auckland Council is committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and embedding te ao Māori into the way we work.
