About the Role As a Team Leader, your key responsibilities will be to manage the staff on a daily basis, rostering and oversee all aspects of the team. You will have direct reports of approx. 59.95 FTE Ward Receptionists within the Waikato Hospital including Matariki and Rhoda Read Hospitals. You will be key in overseeing reception and administrative responsibilities to the entire team in a very busy environment. The successful applicant must be methodical in approach, highly organised, flexible, and a desire to be Leader. You must also have excellent customer service skills. The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the PSA National Health Administration Workers Collective agreement. About the Team/Service Our team of 88 Inpatient Receptionists are committed to front desk operations in the wards, responsible for greeting, admitting, discharging, transfer of patient staying within the ward and managing patient records. They ensure the smooth running of the reception areas and provide essential support to healthcare staff and our success is driven bythe care of patients and their whanau. About you As a Team Leader - we are seeking a motivated `self-starter, who is an experienced team leader, has outstanding communication skills, with the ability to initiate, lead and drive change when required. The successful candidate will have: Proven experience in a similar senior role and responsibilities A high level of competence in office systems Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across disciplines Strong knowledge and understanding of [Māori and/or Pasifika] culture, values, and community.
