About the Role As Quality Lead - High Security, you’ll provide technical and people leadership across the quality discipline within our High Security Squad’s Product Development. You’ll help Gallagher Security deliver high-quality, reliable software by strengthening quality practices, designing fast and effective feedback loops, and embedding quality throughout planning, design, delivery and operation. You’ll be leading an experienced team of test analysts, working towards achieving the highest levels of product quality for our Government and Critical Infrastructure customers. What you’ll be doing: Define, implement and continuously improve quality standards, testing approaches and ways of working across agile delivery teams. About You You’re an experienced quality engineering leader who combines deep software testing expertise with a passion for coaching people, improving systems and helping teams build quality in from the start. You bring strong hands‑on knowledge across manual, automated, functional and non‑functional testing, and you understand how to design effective testing approaches that reduce risk, improve feedback loops and support fast, reliable delivery. You’re comfortable balancing hands‑on technical insight with people leadership, and you bring the judgement, communication and adaptability needed to lead through complexity and change. What you’ll bring: Significant experience in software testing or quality engineering within agile environments, ideally with 10+ years’ relevant industry experience. Strong experience across manual and automated testing practices, with the ability to shape fit‑for‑purpose test strategies that support quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Exposure to functional and non‑functional testing, including areas such as performance, security, reliability and release readiness. A proven ability to lead, coach and mentor others, with experience supporting performance, wellbeing and career development. Strong judgement, communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to assess and communicate quality risk effectively. To be eligible to obtain this security clearance, you must be an NZ permanent resident and have resided continuously in NZ or one of the 5 Eyes countries (NZ, USA, UK, Canada, Australia) for the past 5 years. Working in an environment driven by collaboration, innovation, passion, craftsmanship and mutual respect, you’ll help achieve our team purpose to translate vision into exceptional creations.
